The Sublime Third Degree: Celebrating a Brother's Journey and the Spirit of Endeavour

This past Wednesday, I had the immense privilege of visiting the Lodge of Endeavour to witness a profoundly special moment in the journey of a dear brother: his raising to the sublime Third Degree of Freemasonry. For me, this ceremony held extra significance. Having been present for all three of his degrees, seeing him complete this final step was the crowning moment of his Masonic initiation. His dedication to the Craft shone through as he delivered his work with such sincerity and skill. It was an honour to watch his growth and be there to support him as a fellow brother. Congratulations must also go to the other candidate who was raised in this double ceremony; he performed equally well.

​A Trip to the 'Big House': Our Lodge's Honour at the Annual Provincial Meeting

Every year, Freemasons from across Berkshire gather for one of the most significant events in our provincial calendar: the Annual Meeting of the Provincial Grand Lodge, held at the magnificent centre in Sindlesham. This year, however, was particularly special for the brethren of Sudlington Bridge 8762. We were bestowed the high honour of having our lodge banner displayed in the temple during the meeting – a proud and prominent recognition of our place within the Province.

A Summer Evening of Fellowship and Celebration on the Thames

Tuesday, 1st July 2025, will be fondly remembered as one of the hottest and most enjoyable gatherings in recent memory for the Brethren and partners of Sudlington Bridge Lodge. As the sun beat down, marking the warmest Lodge day many of us can recall, we gathered for a truly special partners' night, an evening filled with laughter, good company, and a delightful journey along the historic River Thames.
